    Actually, we're not sure what the cause is. It may be related to machine settings, but we don't know what setting. Only one of my three machines exhibits this problem, but all three are running the same OS and version of Office. This is not a universal problem, so machine specificity is certainly on the table.

    What type of machines do you have and which OS (i.e., Win 10, 11)? Also, which version of Office are you running?

    All three are Dells, (a G7-7700, Insprion 5482 and XPS 8930). All are running Windows 11 Pro and all are running Office Home and Business 2019.

    You can then reinstall Office after force removal.

    And your point is......? It will NOT help. This is a MSFT issue and needs to be resolved by MSFT. Read the posts in this thread.
