Did try that on a 20126 of one of our customers. It started to download updates and then they were applied.

The version of Office apps now show Version 2407 (Build 17830.20138 Click-to-Run) and in "About Excel" (Version 2407 Build 16.0.17830.20056)

Attempted an update and got the same error .... I think I am going to stop now, and nothjing else.

Should have stated "This works for me at the present time" As stated, I will continue to check and report any anomalies.

The fact that it even works (or you somehow got it working) is interesting.

I haven't been able to get mine to work despite hours of futzing around with settings, etc.

Just updated my Office Home and Student 2019 using the CMD prompt to Version 2407 Build 17830.20138 Click-to-Run and had no problems but still getting the same error but at least it is up to date. I have disabled my Office updates again. It looks as if updating manually using the CMD prompt command will be the way updates will have to be done as it seems like MS appears to have no interest in solving this.

    Respectfully,

Can confirm this does work. I needed to restart and after I enabled connected services it worked. I then disabled them again and it still worked.

What a joke MS.... do you not even beta test your own software.

It's not working for everyone. See the last posts in the thread below.
