When setting up a protected section on Onenote on my samsung fold6 it I enable the box that says use fingerprint next time but when I go to unlock it again it asks for the password again with the use fingerprint box still enabled. It never lets me use my fingerprint to unlock the sections. Anyone know a fix for this?

Today's update does not solve anything. Every MS app I have been using on Android has some kind of major issue. :-(
It appears that Samsung Pass no longer accepts the app from OneNote. I have the same issue - August 02 2024.

Aside Microsoft team, instead of putting blame on OEM, try to resolve your bugs.
Pixel 9 user with Android 14 having same issue here. biometrics not working on One Note defaults to passcode.
Follows these steps, made sure it was uninstalled first. Did not work for me unfortunately on a Pixel 9 Pro XL.
