OneNote fingerprint unlock is not working

When setting up a protected section on Onenote on my samsung fold6 it I enable the box that says use fingerprint next time but when I go to unlock it again it asks for the password again with the use fingerprint box still enabled. It never lets me use my fingerprint to unlock the sections. Anyone know a fix for this?

    I refuse to install APKs from the internet, don't want Trojans or a ransomware attack, but I solved my problem very easily. I found a note-taking application called "Standard Notes" and I will never come back to OneNote.

    Standard Notes has everything I need, encryption of notes, biometrics authentication, 2FA, Password Protection on individual notes in addition to the other security features mentioned. It is open source and it's very lightweight. It's available for Windows, macOS, Android and iOS.

    So long OneNote, it was nice meeting thee.

    Plain text and no structure, or you have to pay. Convincing 😏

    The first thing I did was search on APKMirror and APKPure and the search was successful very quickly.

    Also, it was not even a problem to find the correct version for the hardware and maybe even with a date before the defect...

    However, on OneNote I store and save mainly sensitive data and I cannot afford to carry a Trojan on board...

    I do not trust files on the internet at all. Too many scams.

    I keep the defect, less serious than the theft and use of my data.

    But in this whole story it is incredible that MS does not release a patch, given that the defect is known and widespread...

    Let's keep this discussion alive, or alternatively provide the link to an official 2025 smartphone version or the link to a recent official apk...

    I just tried this and it worked on my S24 Ultra... apkmirror site was confusing with so many variants and architecture options i couldn't be bothered googling
