OneNote fingerprint unlock is not working

Hi bro,

1st you uninstall any onenote from the phone, then download & install this version of one note from

here: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/microsoft-corporation/onenote/onenote-16-0-17231-20016-release/microsoft-onenote-save-notes-16-0-17231-20016-android-apk-download/

install it by giving permission to install from unknown sources. After installation open the onenote & login, then open the password protected notebook/page & put password with clicking on the toggle to open with fingerprint from next time. after opening the notebook/page, close the app & open it again.. check if this time it works with fingerprint. If it works then update the Onenote app from the google playstore, & then check again. It will continue to work.

I juusssssst checked it, there is no update in the play store so it's on the newest version. When I opened the app itself, I was greeted buly the intro for the new cards feature. So def on the newest ver.

The fingerprint unlock is still working.

Thanks. Maybe there's no solution to my problem, though I've seen other folks in my position posting online. You get used to unlocking with fingerprint and then the app decides to demand a password instead. What I thought was the right password isn't working, but it's so long since I had to use it. Surely there's some way to get it to accept a fingerprint again...

Are you still using the Jan 2024 apk? Or did you update in the Playstore after sideloading the apk? I tried with the Jan 24 apk, then updated in the Playstore and it still won't prompt for a fingerprint :(
