Why does the "Restart Office to apply privacy settings" not go away

Why does the "Restart Office to apply privacy settings" not go away even after i have closed all office products, restarted them i have even restarted PC and still every time i open an office priduct i have this same issue?

Restarted multiple times in different applications, rebooted PC still same error

    There is none. We can only speculate that Microsoft’s application authentication model is fatally fractured. It likely contains dated code that the company’s most recently hired software engineers are unable to figure out. If so, much software will need to be rewritten from scratch to a new design specs. Microsoft’s silence about a now month-old and acutely embarrassing problem is deafening. Careers are on the line here so we can only wait.

    One of the techs had me create a new user profile and delete the old one. It was a lot of work to get the new profile configured with the apps etc. that I use.

    Save yourself the time and trouble.... it did not work.

    Yep. Been there and they had me do that as well.

    I would think Microsoft should get a fix so we don't have to chase around and try this and that and it doesn't work.
    Big time Corp like Microsoft should be able to figure out their privacy setting is screwing the 365 up, so remove the update permanently or fix it!
