Folders Shared with me are syncing as internet shortcut in OneDrive on Windows PC

Hi. I had some folders shared from different users in my OneDrive account. I had added the folders to my OneDrive with Add Shortcut to OneDrive button from Shared folders in cloud. The account is logged into a windows pc and every files including the folders shared with my were syncing fine until yesterday. Yesterday night the shared folders were completely removed from the Windows pc and folders are replaced with internet shortcut. This is such a big mess. I have tried unlinking the account and linking it back, changing the location of OneDrive on my windows pc and tried to get a new folder shared to my account and adding it to OneDrive. Nothing works so far. OneDrive has a big part in my daily activities. Please help me resolve this.

Here is the statement from the Microsoft OneDrive product group (Redmond USA) about the OneDrive Personal problem:

***This is related to a backend migration we are doing and unfortunately, we don’t fully support syncing shared folders in the case where one user has migrated and the other has not. We’re doing everything possible to accelerate things so that it can be resolved as soon as possible for users of the feature. When the accounts are migrated, there is automated logic that makes them go back to a syncing folder within several days.***I have heard, that shared Folder issue is gone.
The best thing is: WAIT and do nothing

    "The problem with working in the cloud is that Excel files with VBA programming don’t work properly.
    Another issue is that if I create a file on my computer and want to share it, I have to go to OneDrive Web and upload the file manually.
    Also, even though I have a business plan, I’m not sure if I can share files with personal accounts."

    This is unacceptable for a problem that exists almost a year now. I have lost tenths of Gigabytes of Data for a Conference that is in the final stretch. From Marketing Material to Reservations and other crucial info and now I am flying blind. And the "funny" part is that I was working on that project when I started having errors poping up on a marketing material I was working on Illustrator because your incompetence transformed a folder to a shortcut and all hell broke lose from there.

    Thank you Microsof OneDrive Product Group for such an amateurish move. I bet that you will ask me for the money when my subscription ends. Let's see who will pay my damages for your incompetence.

    I know it doesn't help anyone. But I turned on my computer today and the folders have returned. The internet shortcuts have gone back to proper folders!

    I went into the Onedrive online and removed a share and added it back in again using the 'Add shortcut to My Files' . It all worked.

    Very annoying if you still have this issue, especially if you use it for work!

    Took ~2 months from loss of folders to them returning!
