Hi. I had some folders shared from different users in my OneDrive account. I had added the folders to my OneDrive with Add Shortcut to OneDrive button from Shared folders in cloud. The account is logged into a windows pc and every files including the folders shared with my were syncing fine until yesterday. Yesterday night the shared folders were completely removed from the Windows pc and folders are replaced with internet shortcut. This is such a big mess. I have tried unlinking the account and linking it back, changing the location of OneDrive on my windows pc and tried to get a new folder shared to my account and adding it to OneDrive. Nothing works so far. OneDrive has a big part in my daily activities. Please help me resolve this.

Here is the statement from the Microsoft OneDrive product group (Redmond USA) about the OneDrive Personal problem:

***This is related to a backend migration we are doing and unfortunately, we don’t fully support syncing shared folders in the case where one user has migrated and the other has not. We’re doing everything possible to accelerate things so that it can be resolved as soon as possible for users of the feature. When the accounts are migrated, there is automated logic that makes them go back to a syncing folder within several days.***I have heard, that shared Folder issue is gone.
The best thing is: WAIT and do nothing

Do you mind showing me the shortcut you are seeing? Is it in File Explorer under OneDrive folder?

I have been sharing a OneDrive folder among a few people for years with no problem. A few days ago one of the people, and only one, started having a synching problem with the shared folder.

All folders are accessible as expected via web browser. The shared folder was added to "My Files" and online this seems to work as expected.

But, while using Explorer on a Win 11 PC, the folder (representing the shared folder) that is created in the OneDrive folder is a URL that opens the web browser to the OneDrive page when it is opened. The expected outcome is to open the folder in Explorer and show the other files and folders it contains.

Also, when in the OneDrive app's Account settings, the shared folder does not appear. So, there is no way to tell it to sync.

On 3 others PC's using the same shared folder everything works well.

Have search website and tried many things only odd thing I can see is that the OneDrive build version on the problem PC is 24.108.0528.0005 and the build version for ALL other PC's with the shared file is 24.101.0519.0010.

This is despite uninstalling and reinstalling OneDrive from MS website.

    I have tried:

    1. unlinking and re-linking OneDrive using the account.
    2. resetting Onedrive.exe
    3. uninstalling and reinstalling on both the problem PC and the PC that is sharing the file. Interestingly, after doing this on both PC's, they end up with different versions of the OneDrive app (as mentioned above).
    4. resetting OneDrive and then to use a different folder for its root storage.

After each step the behavior is the same.

    Any help would be appriciated!
