Hi. I had some folders shared from different users in my OneDrive account. I had added the folders to my OneDrive with Add Shortcut to OneDrive button from Shared folders in cloud. The account is logged into a windows pc and every files including the folders shared with my were syncing fine until yesterday. Yesterday night the shared folders were completely removed from the Windows pc and folders are replaced with internet shortcut. This is such a big mess. I have tried unlinking the account and linking it back, changing the location of OneDrive on my windows pc and tried to get a new folder shared to my account and adding it to OneDrive. Nothing works so far. OneDrive has a big part in my daily activities. Please help me resolve this.

Here is the statement from the Microsoft OneDrive product group (Redmond USA) about the OneDrive Personal problem:

***This is related to a backend migration we are doing and unfortunately, we don’t fully support syncing shared folders in the case where one user has migrated and the other has not. We’re doing everything possible to accelerate things so that it can be resolved as soon as possible for users of the feature. When the accounts are migrated, there is automated logic that makes them go back to a syncing folder within several days.***I have heard, that shared Folder issue is gone.
The best thing is: WAIT and do nothing

    Hello, Orlando Nikolai

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

We are aware of the issue and are working on resolving it. The url files will automatically convert back to folders when the issue is resolved. For now, we recommend accessing shared folders that are in this state on OneDrive.com.

Please refer to this information here:

Still an issue. Multiple platform devices at my workplace. Till yesterday, only one Windows 11 had the above issue.

Overnight, one of my Apple laptops decided to follow the same problem. Shared folder is now a url. Ok yesterday, now not.

Clearly it is not confined to Windows. It's a OneDrive issue.

I generate all the error codes for them monday, Everything Microsoft has done this week has made the problem worse.

I think half the world's pissed off at them.

I'll verify sunday that it is strictly in their server and has nothing to do with the app installed on the idiom machine.

On linux servers they discovered Back door access Was Distributed from the Linux source code and it.

They started destroying a permission's code through this back door a month ago. All the servers I have come across with it normally are damaged Is permission's own, Let's mess up hundreds of thousands of servers throughout all industries.

I've never seen it taking this long.To but I have a feeling that's where it's coming from.

Thanks for enlightening me on the subject. I'll check back here on Sunday / Monday to see if you post a follow up on the matter.
