Hi. I had some folders shared from different users in my OneDrive account. I had added the folders to my OneDrive with Add Shortcut to OneDrive button from Shared folders in cloud. The account is logged into a windows pc and every files including the folders shared with my were syncing fine until yesterday. Yesterday night the shared folders were completely removed from the Windows pc and folders are replaced with internet shortcut. This is such a big mess. I have tried unlinking the account and linking it back, changing the location of OneDrive on my windows pc and tried to get a new folder shared to my account and adding it to OneDrive. Nothing works so far. OneDrive has a big part in my daily activities. Please help me resolve this.

Here is the statement from the Microsoft OneDrive product group (Redmond USA) about the OneDrive Personal problem:

***This is related to a backend migration we are doing and unfortunately, we don’t fully support syncing shared folders in the case where one user has migrated and the other has not. We’re doing everything possible to accelerate things so that it can be resolved as soon as possible for users of the feature. When the accounts are migrated, there is automated logic that makes them go back to a syncing folder within several days.***I have heard, that shared Folder issue is gone.
The best thing is: WAIT and do nothing

I am going to assume everyone who'**** this problem is using 365 for Family - or at least NOT 365 for Business???

I've been experimenting it seems it is NO LONGER POSSIBLE to share a folder with other Onedrive users OTHER than as an online link/with online access to the 365 Online Apps

I'm guessing this is deliberate - to force actual business users to use Business ( with proper user management an separate Onedrive allowances ) instead of Family ( without any of that )

If you have this issue - try creating a few folder (as the account owner) and share it with anyone - my guess is that person will NOT be able to add that Folder into their Onedrive - only a link...

I have a cake something with Microsoft.Onedrive and have had it open for twelve days, The owner doing it's requesting the same information over and over again and no fixes are suggestions. They gave me originally a list about half a paid plan.I went through all of those nothing helped.

For my clients I install goodsync paid version on hp mini and allow onedrive to download the sync folder from the sharing account and It push the shared folder to the cloud onedrive of the receving folders and it set to sync both was. This is what we use before one drive develop the Share folder sync. It works great but can't make sure the machine stays on all the time and it's syncing.

To both users, it looks and is does functioning normally and correctly Then you can maintain security settings also. It is possible to share to multiple onedrives.
