Folders Shared with me are syncing as internet shortcut in OneDrive on Windows PC

Hi. I had some folders shared from different users in my OneDrive account. I had added the folders to my OneDrive with Add Shortcut to OneDrive button from Shared folders in cloud. The account is logged into a windows pc and every files including the folders shared with my were syncing fine until yesterday. Yesterday night the shared folders were completely removed from the Windows pc and folders are replaced with internet shortcut. This is such a big mess. I have tried unlinking the account and linking it back, changing the location of OneDrive on my windows pc and tried to get a new folder shared to my account and adding it to OneDrive. Nothing works so far. OneDrive has a big part in my daily activities. Please help me resolve this.

Here is the statement from the Microsoft OneDrive product group (Redmond USA) about the OneDrive Personal problem:

***This is related to a backend migration we are doing and unfortunately, we don’t fully support syncing shared folders in the case where one user has migrated and the other has not. We’re doing everything possible to accelerate things so that it can be resolved as soon as possible for users of the feature. When the accounts are migrated, there is automated logic that makes them go back to a syncing folder within several days.***I have heard, that shared Folder issue is gone.
The best thing is: WAIT and do nothing

    Por fin, me acaban de migrar mi cuenta principal 2 semanas ha durado la pesadilla. Aun así afortunado, viendo que hay mucha gente que lleva meses. Muchas gracias a todos por compartir los comentarios.

    I just noticed that all my accounts were migrated to version 2. However, I can't add shortcuts in my secondary account for folders that are in my main account. A message appears saying: '1 shortcut wasn't added.' So I came up with a way to trick OneDrive: I created a new folder in my main account, shared it with my secondary account, and it allowed me to create a shortcut normally. Then I went to the main account and moved all the problematic folders into the new folder. And voilà, my files are synchronized again

    i have followed this thread for three months. that is how long it has affected my systems.

    first, I NEVER trust OneDrive, Dropbox, or anything to be primary storage for my files, so i have the files themselves backed up on local storage. OneDrive is for secondary backup of these.

    to ME, the WORST PROBLEM is the workflow, with sharing. THAT is where i NEED the OneDrive collaboration, and the place that it is now missing, with providing shortcuts instead of actual folders, for shared files.

    Changing to Dropbox, Google, etc, is not a solution, they run into their own chaos.

    All i can really do is wait. I CAN access the shared files by clicking the shortcut, downloading the files needed, working with them,etc, but IT IS A PAIN borh for myself and for colleagues. I don't want to create new accounts (data of about 700gb in each person's share) so we will just have to sit and wait until the great behemoth fixes this, and actually wakes up and realizes the chaos they have created. I doubt that will happen, they will just take their own good time, and we are just peons in a great shell game.

    I posted this just to add my experienses, in event that microsoft may look at this thread and see how it has affected its users.
