Hi. I had some folders shared from different users in my OneDrive account. I had added the folders to my OneDrive with Add Shortcut to OneDrive button from Shared folders in cloud. The account is logged into a windows pc and every files including the folders shared with my were syncing fine until yesterday. Yesterday night the shared folders were completely removed from the Windows pc and folders are replaced with internet shortcut. This is such a big mess. I have tried unlinking the account and linking it back, changing the location of OneDrive on my windows pc and tried to get a new folder shared to my account and adding it to OneDrive. Nothing works so far. OneDrive has a big part in my daily activities. Please help me resolve this.

Here is the statement from the Microsoft OneDrive product group (Redmond USA) about the OneDrive Personal problem:

***This is related to a backend migration we are doing and unfortunately, we don’t fully support syncing shared folders in the case where one user has migrated and the other has not. We’re doing everything possible to accelerate things so that it can be resolved as soon as possible for users of the feature. When the accounts are migrated, there is automated logic that makes them go back to a syncing folder within several days.***I have heard, that shared Folder issue is gone.
The best thing is: WAIT and do nothing

I’m getting very tired of this. It worked good for a month now it’s been down for a month. Microsoft is becoming so undependable been a certified Microsoft tech for over 15 years and I have never been so disgusted with them as I am now I think they’re trying to make the Home Microsoft office not be able to have folders download and push people into buying the professional version and now almost $300 a year. I’ll sit down this weekend and go through it again, but I’m not having much hope.

    Great idea!

Main account (receiver) had about 400 GB or so?

Secondary accounts (sharer) had about 600 GB and maybe 200 GB? I don't remember the exact figures but I would say my total was below 2 TB total, around 1.5 ~ 1.8 TB total.

I am logged on my computer about 16 hours everyday, 7 days a week, almost always with OneDrive on line.

I don't think there's a single day when I don't at least make changes to files stored there or add new ones.

I also use other devices like a printer and my phone / camera.

I only use MS office on one computer, actively. Only Excel and MS Access probably between once a month or even once per quarter.

I rarely use anything else. Had those 60 skype minutes but it was always so cumbersome and there's so many restrictions on where we could use them that I ended up wasting 99.9999% of them.

Dislike Teams, used Outlook to fetch all my irrelevant mail boxes. Was surprised they removed that service when I noticed those messages weren't coming when I used the "isread:no" filter to check what was new across my entire storage.

Stopped using my shares once they broke, obviously, but not only because they broke but I was forced to change my workflow. My "cold case files" still need to be resynchronized properly, my main account now holds most of the files.

I might be too lazy to move to another solution soon enough and there's a chance I pay them 109 CAD this year just so I have more time to adjust. Renovation bill in a month.

Only main account stuck on V1. Others migrated.

    Does it help?

    Hi

    That is fantastic

    Would like to ask

What's the usage (in GB) that you have and when did this start for you guys (the problem)

Trying to assess , as some people say that when you have a lot of GB used up, it takes a lot longer....
