Hi. I had some folders shared from different users in my OneDrive account. I had added the folders to my OneDrive with Add Shortcut to OneDrive button from Shared folders in cloud. The account is logged into a windows pc and every files including the folders shared with my were syncing fine until yesterday. Yesterday night the shared folders were completely removed from the Windows pc and folders are replaced with internet shortcut. This is such a big mess. I have tried unlinking the account and linking it back, changing the location of OneDrive on my windows pc and tried to get a new folder shared to my account and adding it to OneDrive. Nothing works so far. OneDrive has a big part in my daily activities. Please help me resolve this.

Here is the statement from the Microsoft OneDrive product group (Redmond USA) about the OneDrive Personal problem:

***This is related to a backend migration we are doing and unfortunately, we don’t fully support syncing shared folders in the case where one user has migrated and the other has not. We’re doing everything possible to accelerate things so that it can be resolved as soon as possible for users of the feature. When the accounts are migrated, there is automated logic that makes them go back to a syncing folder within several days.***I have heard, that shared Folder issue is gone.
The best thing is: WAIT and do nothing

two days ago it switched back to syncing folders instead of just linking as a shortcut in windows explorer. I had the problem you describe for over one year!

It is a shame MS took s long to fox this bug.

So you should wait none hope that your account is the next in the queue.....

You would think Microsoft would be smart enough to move all accounts in one family to same version you would think.

FINALLY - After 4 months of hell, my OneDrive has been migrated to V2 and all our family are back in sync.

I had to re-share some folders, as when I was trying to figure out what the problem was (Before coming here!), I had removed the links and share between us.

NOTE: My Synology Cloud Sync de-authenticated to OneDrive (and would not re-authenticate) so I had to unlink the account and re-create the Sync Tasks.

    It works AGAIN!. Yeah.

After 11.5 months of no syncing on my primary computer. Last week, it disconnected my shared drive with a 2^nd^ computer (called Drones in the future). So I dug deep again. Here is what I did.

    1. I went to the master computer account and removed all shares.
    2. Went to the two "drone" accounts and deleted the URL links to the share folder.
    3. On both drone computers, I went to the Settings-Account and “Unlinked this PC”.
    4. Hit the “Windows Key” & R then type: %localappdata%\microsoft\OneDrive\settings
    5. Deleted the following file: PreSignInSettingsConfig.json
    6. Back to master computer and reshared the folder to the two accounts.
    7. On Drone computer. Re-added/Linked account to computer.
    8. When I reviewed access, the shared folder was fully functional again.

I hope this helps all of you experiencing this issue.
