A Microsoft file hosting and synchronization service.
Just curious if any one is even tracking this issue any more, or if any one has recently tried to get folders back? Thanks in advance.

I had a folder shared with me, and I could fully sync it to my own mac - all the office files were available offline on my own mac (word, excel, ppt). It appeared as a folder in Finder in the Onedrive folder.
Since yesterday the shared folder has disappeared from finder, and all the files are no longer on the mac. They don't show up in a spotlight search. The folder has been replaced by a url that opens the shared folder online.
The folder is fully available when I access Onedrive through the web.
I can also open the shared files on Onedrive through the native Mac apps, if they appear in recent files, or browse to "Online locations", but these only show the recent locations that I had accessed through finder. I can't browse the entire folder through an app.
I have tried the following:
Happening on both Mac M2 Air and Macbook Pro Intel, both have current versions of SW for both Mac and Office.

Dear Aaron,
Quick questions: when you say, as it is supposed to, do you mean full functionality within file folders? Also, is the customer a Mac user? I ask because yesterday I reinstalled the OneDrive app, and still a no go for me. But your message offers hope!
Thank you,
Kate
One of my customers has reported that OneDrive has started working the way it is supposed to again, so hopefully MSFT is rolling out an update that restores the functionality. Everyone else switched to Dropbox so these were the only ones left that I have to go by...
That sounds very similar to a response I got on July 8th, and it's clear the Microsoft customer support staff are clueless about the issue.
If Microsoft want us to work exclusively on the cloud then Google is a better platform. I have ended up doing most of my work there and sharing and communication with external partners is much easier. At this point, even if Microsoft fix the issue my workflow has changed and I have difficulty trusting this product.
Response from July 8th:
Sorry for the delay in response. You case was under investigation with our engineering team and that took some time for us to get back to you.
I wanted to update you on the status of your ticket as we've heard from engineering now. They acknowledged the issue and have filed a bug for the same. It's in our development pipeline now and will need to be resolved with a product update.
I want to say thank you for helping us out to track this issue down and keep checking for app updates we should have a fix out soon, no specific ETA as we are still coding the solution.
Should you run into other issues or have suggestions, send feedback the exact same way and we will be able to help you out.
Today I got different answer than usual:
I understand you are facing issue with the shortcut to shared folder working as a link and also, apologize for the fact that it is taking longer than usual to fix the issue. I would like to inform you that our engineering team is already testing a fix to rectify the issue as soon as possible. As a workaround, you can continue to click on the folder and access the shared files/folders within the web browser.
The fix for the issue you are facing will be rolled with coming updates, the OneDrive application installed on your device has the ability to auto-update. Once the engineering team from our backend releases the new OTA update, the OneDrive will get updated automatically and hopefully, the issue will get fixed.
I understand how inconvenient it can be. Rest assured; the engineering team is working to fix the issue as soon as possible, as many of our beloved customer like you have reported the issue with sharing folders working as URL.
Hope it's true that they are testing the fix.
