MS Word Read Aloud voice changes tone

I'm using the Read Aloud feature, and the "female" voice changed its tone when it hit this one paragraph. I don't think there's anything special about the text, but the voice changed to sound emotionally elated. Why is it doing this, when I never hear it use emotion anywhere else?

This happens every year… (4 years now). I always get run in circles… microsoft needs to respectfully call me with help in how to re-choose the voice in read aloud. I have never reset anything. It is always taken from me and always takes 4-6 weeks for it to reset itself. Respectfully waiting fir a call… richard

I've reported this issue to the Word product team (though they don't own this feature), and they have suggested we ask for repro documents, though I doubt that the nature of the document text is relevant here. If you (all of you having this issue) can upload a document to OneDrive (or another file sharing service) and make it public, we can share it with the Word team.

I would advise both you and Scott to report this via Help | Feedback. Provide as much detail as you have here to help the product team diagnose the problem.

The standard voices that Word uses have no ability to detect or portray the tone or emotion in writing. Very simply: They're not that sophisticated. Whatever you are perceiving isn't coming from Word.

I have never used Read Aloud and have no solution to your problem, but I do appreciate your description of it! I can see how that would be distracting.
