I conducted a meeting yesterday and sent out my notes with the Email Page function in OneNote.
This morning, I looked through my sent emails in the New Outlook and couldn't find the sent notes anywhere. Additionally, I didn't have them in my inbox either, which I would have expected since I was also an attendee.
Resent them this morning, thinking I must have forgotten to send them, but realized that the email window that opens when I click "Email Page" is from the old outlook. Opened the old outlook, and it instantly sent both my notes from yesterday AND my resent notes.
So basically, if you don't leave the old Outlook open, it seems you can't expect OneNote to actually email out your pages, even if you clicked send. The old outlook has to be opened up for the send to actually happen.
This needs to be fixed quickly. Believing that you sent something that never went out is a good way to set people up for failure.

It cannot work because OneNote needs a MAPI-compliant interface which New Outlook doesn't support.

I have voted for it... and added a comment. This is insane. I'd think that "NEW" would be improved... not a step backwards!
This morning my boss asked me where a report was... told her "I sent it at like 6:30 this morning"
Joke's on me... cause it didn't send... until I switched back to Old (trusty) Outlook and like 5 different things sent from One Note that people now think I'm crazy for sending so late... wonderful!
Had this same issue so I opened the old outlook - then the messages were sent. I closed it again and noticed the sent messages now appear in the New Outlook Sent folder. Not great but is a temporary workaround I guess.
I am also having a similar issue with the One Note Email icon. I had been trying to email a page of notes to a fellow classmate and was not able to do so using the Email Page function. For this reason, I had done some trouble shooting and testing to try to get it to work, but to no avail; however, just today my wife told me that she had received several massages from containing pages from One Note that I had sent her. This was weeks ago. I went in to check my sent messages and found that messages containing One Note pages were also sent to other family members. Now I may have attempted to send these pages in an effort to make Outlook work, but this is very concerning. I would really appreciate it Microsoft would resolve this issue with One Note and Outlook. I use these programs extensively and I really need them working properly and predictively.
It looks like they may have removed the item.
They just fixed the association with meetings. It is now connected to the new outlook.
Seems like email FROM OneNote is still using the old outlook though.
