Microsoft 365 Calendar Won't Sync with iPhone or Webmail

Microsoft reported on February 29th that the connection issue for MS 365 using Exchange ActiveSync had been resolved.

I then changed my settings to allow for updates as I too had lost my Exchange connection. The update installed was 2402 (Build 17328.20162).

The update however, has now created an issue with the MS 365 calendar not syncing with my iPhone and Webmail. This only occurs when I'm using the MS 365 calendar on my laptop to add or change an event. The entry or change does not show up on my iPhone or webmail. However, when I use my iPhone calendar or Webmail calendar to create an event or change an event, it does show up in the MS 365 calendar on my laptop? Go figure.

I have deleted and set up my account on my iPhone. I have uninstalled MS 365 and reinstalled from my MS Account. The version reinstalled is 2401 (Build 17231.20236). No change.

I use Shaw/Rogers as my email provider.

Please help.

Thanks

Barry

    Thank you for your email.

I've trying to get this issue resolved since February of last year. So frustrating to say the least.

I see you have a business subscription with MS. I know that the Business side of MS handle Exchange for Outlook. I would suggest that you have a telephone call with them to see what they will do. They seem to be more receptive if you have a business subscription. If I have your email address I can forward further information to you regarding my communication with the business side of MS and which version I believe the issue began. They actually recognized there was an issue, built a business case and were to review with the back end folks. However, when they realized I had a personal subscription, the issue was dropped.

Can you please let me know how you make out.

    Good luck.

When I asked my contacts in Microsoft support about it, they said they need Shaw support to open a support case with Microsoft so they can investigate.

    Hi Diane,

Good to hear from you again.

I have already gone down that road with Shaw. Their response is that they’ve stopped supporting email many years ago.

I thought I was making progress through the business side of MS a few months ago. Even to a point where the support person finally realized there was an issue after I provided him with screenshots, etc. He then build a business case and had support from his supervisor to take it to the backend team. He dropped the case because I didn’t have a business subscription. Silly, because the consumer side put me in touch with the business side of MS. As he said it’s that business unit that manages EAS.

A few weeks ago, I was connected with a Consumer Advocate (Faith) from MS. She said she was taking on my issue and would help to get it resolved. I provided all of the information to her. I’ve followed up with a number of emails, haven’t heard from her for 6 weeks. 😳

While the issue could in fact rest with

Shaw, I honestly think the issue is with MS. You may recall that you assisted me to revert to 17126.20132. This version works totally fine. No sync issues at. The sync issue started after this version. For now, I do not allow updates to come through.

Can you please reach out to MS again.

    Thank you.

    Barry

Yes, We have MS365 Pro/enterprise subscription for my employer, si2.org.

I hesitate to post my real si2.org email address on a public forum for fear of getting flooded with SPAM. However, I can give you a temp auto generated hide-my-email relay address … However, I don’t have too much time to mess with this since we’re considering just switching from use of Outlook to some other email solutions that work well with non-MS365 websites and calendars.

send me an email at ******@icloud.com so I can share my real email address with you privately.
