Microsoft reported on February 29th that the connection issue for MS 365 using Exchange ActiveSync had been resolved.
I then changed my settings to allow for updates as I too had lost my Exchange connection. The update installed was 2402 (Build 17328.20162).
The update however, has now created an issue with the MS 365 calendar not syncing with my iPhone and Webmail. This only occurs when I'm using the MS 365 calendar on my laptop to add or change an event. The entry or change does not show up on my iPhone or webmail. However, when I use my iPhone calendar or Webmail calendar to create an event or change an event, it does show up in the MS 365 calendar on my laptop? Go figure.
I have deleted and set up my account on my iPhone. I have uninstalled MS 365 and reinstalled from my MS Account. The version reinstalled is 2401 (Build 17231.20236). No change.
I use Shaw/Rogers as my email provider.
Please help.
Thanks

Hi Barry. I’ve been following this thread because I’m experiencing the same calendar sync issue with Outlook and EAS. Thanks for your persistence.
The eM Client website does not list support for the EAS protocol, only IMAP, POP3, and SMTP::
Not sure this is helpful to you but thought I’d share.
For what it’s worth, I’ve downloaded the CalDav Synchronizer plug-in for Outlook and it seems to work. Not that Shaw or MS should be off the hook for fixing the issue but at least there’s a workaround beyond the rollback to a year-old version of MS 365..
Good morning Carlo,
My apologies for not getting back to you sooner. Unfortunately, your email address did not come though in your last message, however, that might be a mute point since you are also looking at an alternate email ,etc. platform.
Diane mentioned eM Client. I've checked it out and it actually looks very interesting. One can connect via Exchange, which would then provide email, calendar, contacts and task list. I chatted with the tech folks at Staples and Memory Express in Calgary and they were both very positive about it. In fact the tech at Staples said they install it frequently for their customers who do not want to use Outlook. I did download the free 30 day subscription and was able to connect using IMAP, however, I'm having an issue trying to connect using Exchange.
If you decide to try it out and are able to connect using exchange can you please let me know how you make out. You'll recall, I also use SHAW (now Rogers) as my email provider.
Hope you have a good weekend.
Best Regards
Barry
Good morning Diane,
Thank you for your suggestion. I took a quick look at eM Client. It looks like a very interesting alternative to Outlook. I see that it can be connected using EAS.
Also, I'm going to contact SHAW today. I'll let you know what they say.
Have a great day.
Thanks again.

just switching from use of Outlook to some other email solutions that work well with non-MS365 websites and calendars

eM client is worth a look, or forgot EAS and use a utility such as gsyncit to sync calendar and contacts from other services if you are also using Microsoft 365 email.
