On March 8, 2024 to gain access into my desktop it was stated that I needed to pay for my Microsoft service which had lapsed. At that time I was charged $79.43 which I placed on my capital one card.. Today I received a charge from Microsoft for the same service to the same address and devices in the amount of $106.49. If I had already paid, why am I being billed again 13 days later? I would like to have , the $106.49 credited back to my Capital One card. How do I go about that that?

Hi, You can take the following actions to fix the multiple billing issue and ask for a credit for the duplicate charge: Examine your statement of charges: First, make sure that Microsoft really sent you two bills. In order to confirm that the same service was charged twice, review your billing statements from both March 8 and the current charge date. Speak with Microsoft Support here: Report the duplicate billing issue to Microsoft's customer assistance as soon as you can. Usually, their website or the dashboard of your Microsoft account have contact details. Give a detailed explanation of the circumstances, including the dates and amounts of the charges as well as any pertinent account information. Request a Refund: After getting in touch with Microsoft support, ask to have the $106.49 duplicate charge reversed. Give a clear explanation of how you were already charged for the same service on March 8 and attach any supporting paperwork or evidence you may have. Follow Up: To make sure your refund request is being handled, get in touch with Microsoft support again if needed after making it. For your records, keep a record of any correspondence or reference numbers you get throughout the return procedure. Keep an eye on your account: Make sure the refund is handled and applied to your account by keeping a watch on your Capital One card statement. It could take a few business days for refunds to show up, so be cautious yet patient. You should be able to fix the double billing issue and get a credit for the duplicate charge on your Capital One card by following these instructions and getting in touch with Microsoft's customer support immediately. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you need further help. That doesn't help at all. I'm opening another dispute with my bank. Then I will stop the automatic renewal after the first charge next year. Then they can cancel my ghost second subscription for nonpayment.

If I have a 365 family subscription that allows me to install it on 5 devices, why would I pay for a second subscription when I only have it installed on one device. Makes no sense,

Unfortunately this doesn't happen. No one calls back. The Live Chat is hopeless too. The operator said that she couldn't find an account with my email and cut me off. I've gone back to my credit card company who have refunded me and are pursuing the overcharge now themselves.
