At some point in the last couple of days, the default +body/+headings font on my copy of Office 365 changed to the Aptos font. I honestly find it a bit hard to read, and I'd rather choose my default body font from a choice of whatever fonts I have installed. Failing that, I'd take Calibri again. The Aptos font reminds me a lot of
Since this affects all Office products, I can't say go into Outlook and change the stationery fonts; this doesn't impact the Reading Pane. It also wouldn't impact say Word, where I'd have to come up with my own document template to override the change. It doesn't seem to be a registry edit or template file edit, either. Is there a spot that the Aptos font can be changed?

I'm not finding the "set as default" option within excel. Can you share guidance for excel documents also?
I appreciate the response. However, my issue goes beyond just the creation of documents. My issue is that even reading plain text emails means that I have to read them in this font, and I find it difficult to read. That's why I'm hoping for an across the board change somewhere to all Office products. A registry edit, a setting in a menu, I don't care, as long as I can put it into something easier for me to read.
There is not a general "use this fint everywhere in office" settings.
Plain text font is set in Outlook options. file > Options > Mail > Stationery & Fonts. The default is the +body font, which is changed using my method to set as default on the format text page in Outlook.
There is no single place where you can change the font of all Office applications.
In the classic version of Outlook for Windows, the plain text font can be modified via Composing and reading plain text messages at File > Options > Mail > Stationery and Fonts > Personal Stationery.
In Word for Windows, you can use the Font dialog box (Ctrl+D) and set a new default font.

Aptos is the new default font so the change was automatic.
In Outlook:
Open a new document and on the Format Text tab.
Click change Styles button, choose the font you want then click set as Default.
In Word:
Design tab - then select the font and set as default.
