Single Use Codes - repeated email request notifications

Why do I keep getting these messages in my email:

We received your request for a single-use code to use with your Microsoft account.

Your single-use code is: 123456 [I changed this]

If you didn't request this code, you can safely ignore this email. Someone else might have typed your email address by mistake.

    Hello,

    I have a message about a one time code on my recovery email. When I checked, the activity to try to sign in to my regular email is at least once a day over the past 3 months from all over: Macedonia, Turkey etc.

    So no, it was not me requesting it and no, nobody put my emails address by accident. This is targeted. Please let us all know ( it's not just me) what to do and what does Microsoft do about this!

    The locations of the attempts are from vpns, so no use trying to follow.

    Ive done juist about everything, but nothing worked.

    Next step for me is setting a new rule for these emails to go directly to my spambox. If i ever need it, ill know where to look.

    I have received multiple of these emails on my gmail that I use for verification.

    Additionally to the emails I have gotten though, looking at my Recent Activity page https://account.live.com/Activity there have been HUNDREDS of sign in attempts from countries around the world.

    This means that some of them have actually guessed my gmail address as well in order for that email to be sent the single-use codes for verification to get into my outlook. If they were to get into my gmail they could easily get into my outlook at any time!

    How can my account be protected better, this has been happening for months apparently?!!

    THIS IS RIDICULOUS!? I want my account to be more secure, I want an answer.

    Please get it together Microsoft!!

    Something is total wrong with Microsoft outlook email as I had this happen to another email also and now this one as well. Its happening again

    I am STILL receiving a message from Microsoft requesting a code for my MSN account that I am already signed in to. I cannot access my email account as the so called code is supposed to be sent to the account that I have ALREADY SIGNED IN TO. I cannot get rid of this message.

    My account is ******@msn.com, that I am signed in to already. The message states that they will send a code to this same account so that I can sign in.

    WHAT IS GOING ON? I need access to mt account!
