Why do I keep getting these messages in my email:

We received your request for a single-use code to use with your Microsoft account.

Your single-use code is: 123456 [I changed this]

If you didn't request this code, you can safely ignore this email. Someone else might have typed your email address by mistake.

Thanks,

The Microsoft account team

    Deb,

How did you identify where the requests were coming from, I have had 10 today already?

    "MS",

Thanks for your reply. You'd think that a "BLOATED" clongomerate, such as M.S., would have fixes for just about ALL of the problems that customers encounter. It feels like the customers have to do the leg work in finding out how to resolve issues that they a stuck with. It truly pisses me off. Sorry for the reply, I just had to get it off my chest. Much appreciated for you replying back to me. Stay safe & have a great weekend.

This was happening to me and then I realized my password hadn't been changed since 2021. I guess people were getting partial access to my account but were getting locked out when they tried to take advanced actions.

Derek, MS said don’t worry as must be an error but I didn’t like that so changing my p/w more frequently. Really feel MS can do better than this.
