Error code 29 when starting O365

Out of nowhere, I encountered error 29. My 365 subscription was paid in full and had previously worked flawlessly.

After several hours of frustration trying to fix the issue myself, I called Microsoft support, who had me delete these two directories:

%localdata%\Microsoft\IdentityCache

%localdata%\Microsoft\OneAuth

After that, I was able to login into 365 apps without any license issues. Error 29 was gone. FYI, the two directories I deleted where re-generated after successfully logging into Word or Excel.

Use your own username for “username”.

Oh, thanks! This solution worked for me. I have been trying to find a solution on the Microsoft help page since morning, but they don't seem to have any. Their chat support is also faulty; I couldn't connect to an agent. Been facing this issue with the infinite loops to sign-in to 365 apps for a few weeks. Although I was able to activate the 365 apps at every login, now all of a sudden 365 apps were blocked due to an activation error. But your solution worked for me and now I can use them.
