My license is active and shows when I open Word/Excel.

Reinstalled O365 and rebooted.

Still get Error 29 when opening Word/Excel.

I think I have identified the issue, but i am not sure. I reinstalled the system and logged in only with my personal account, without activating the work account, and I still encountered error 29. I then recalled that I had signed up for Copilot Pro today, which seems to have caused my license to not renew properly. However, I am not certain if your situation is the same as mine. And I do not know how to solve this problem.

I encounter exactly the same problem as you describe. Yesterday, I got online chat support by Microsoft on this issue. A level 2 support agent told me that this problem is indeed due to Copilot Pro and that it is known at Microsoft. The engineers are currently working on a solution and will provide a fix soon.
