Microsoft should be sue class action for copying and deleting all my files from my computer and moving it OneDrive cloud space without letting the user know...to get more money and subscription, MS has moved all my files onto Cloud and deleted from my C: drive!
This is done without the users permission or letting the user know of deleting files from the local drive.
I can understand if it copies to OneDrive location on the CLOUD.
NOw it has also made multiple copies and when I want a file I connot find it even!
What MS has done is by virtue of owning the desktop, they are forcing people to use OneDrive and moving files and filling it up on OneDrive so Microsoft can charge more money for cloud space when I did not want to remove it from my local hard drive and keep it on the cloud to begin with.
Now I had too many directories under Documents, they are saying I will have to copy one by one; that too create a zip for each directory and restore it....no easy way back from MS Cloud OneDrive back to the local hard drive.
This is unacceptable and created headaches for many users!!
Now I have to put in a lot of hours to reconstuct my files...

I tried multiple times to prevent Onedrive from doing this but it kept coming back and now none of my files are on my computer and it takes minutes for anything to load. I will never purchase a Microsoft product in my life.
Microsoft should get sued.
They have cost me hundreds of hours of time organizing MY COMPUTERS, just for them to trash it all as they roll out their new gimmicks. Why should I spend hundreds of hours fixing their messes, just to have Microsoft ruin my livelihood - again.
Over the past year or so, Microsoft has destroyed MY Music library, Contacts, and now MY Edge browser Favorites too. Many of MY FILES, have gone completely missing, or are renamed as Unkown.
For days, MY Toshiba Satellite with more than half it's resources available, can't do a Microsoft Safety Scan because Windows says it doesn't have enough resources to run a scan...Bull! One of my Windows laptops wasn't online for a month or two, after 20 some hours it's still not up to date, it's Retry, Restart, Retry...Why?
Silly me, again, I just gave-up $69.99 USD, for another year of OneDrive chaos. All most people need is a little tiny Android phone that can do everything they need and better than Microsoft. For my health and sense of wellbeing, I must go with Linux or Apple.
I hear you brother. Sign me up for the class action. Microsoft stole my photos and documents without my consent. They can say that I did consent but if that is the case, I was tricked into consenting. This is nothing more than a naked grab for money. They take all your documents etc, then tell you you've exceeded the space allowable and then you have to buy more space. NO! Here's a tip.....just give me back what you took from me and I'll store it on my own computer (where you took it from!!) where I have plenty of space. Bring on the class action!!!!
Oh I am so sorry! You have so many reasons to sue. I just last month got away from them. They would not refund my money and they would not break the link. I finally got some help the end of summer but they still were taking my photos from my phone. I just bought a new computer but I am thinking about changing to Apple anyway. I would not be lady if I said what I really feel about Microsoft. I am retired but was a Computer Tech and Microsoft and they used to be the one of the best, so sad to see how far they have fallen. I would consider a class action.
Very Very sorry about what you are dealing with. Absolutely inexcusable.
Clearly, we are not alone. To add insult to injury in my case, the files and photos that they took from me without my knowledge exceeds the amount of 'free' space that I was allocated, so now they are chasing me to pay for extra space when I didn't want to use OneDrive at all for ANYTHING. Talk about a rort!
