I cant find shape format button

I was using ipad, but after your message, I have tried to find it on my school computer and my macbook.

Can't find either shape format or picture format on both of them.

I understand you're having trouble finding the "Format Shape" feature in your PowerPoint app. This feature is mainly supported to the desktop version of PowerPoint either Windows or Mac devices, not on mobile versions of PowerPoint like Android, iOS, tablet, or iPad.

Allow me to ask the following.

1. May we confirm if you are using PowerPoint app on your iPhone or iPad device?
2. May we know what Office license are you using where PowerPoint is part of? Is it Microsoft 365 Personal/Family, Business, Enterprise, or Education?

Please note that the “Format Shape” feature is not available in the web and mobile versions of PowerPoint including iPad, iPhone, android, and tablets. The web and mobile version have limited features compared to the desktop version and it doesn't support this specific feature you are interested about. Consider using the desktop app version of PowerPoint if you need to use the Format Shape in your presentation.

In desktop version of PowerPoint, the Shape Format button in PowerPoint is located in the Drawing Tools tab. If you don't see the Drawing Tools tab, it may be hidden. To show it, click on a shape or object in your slide, and the Drawing Tools tab should appear. The Shape Format button is located in the ribbon under the Drawing Tools tab.

To answer your question, Rajbir, full version usually means the desktop app version Microsoft Office apps installed on your device and not the web based. Full versions are paid licenses, either one-time purchase just like Microsoft Office 2021 editions or subscription-based license such as Microsoft 365.

I believe you haven't told us yet about the version of Office you are using. Would you mind sharing it to us if it is Microsoft 365 Personal/Family, Business, Enterprise, or Education? If it's not stated on the options, please specify it for us.

Also, have you check this video tutorial on how to get/use the format shape on PowerPoint for Windows desktop, Video: Format shapes - Microsoft Support? That should guide you on how and where to locate and make the Format shape available on your PowerPoint app.

If in case, you are not seeing the Format shape on your school computer and on your MacBook, can you please share a screenshot on how your PowerPoint looks like so we can have a better picture on what's going on? Can you also tell us what's the MacOS version of your MacBook?

Using a desktop PC / Mac doesn't ensure that you are using the full desktop version of Office. If your school didn't give you a full license then you probably are not. To check, look at the top left of your ribbon - If you see 9 dots in a square then you are NOT on the full version.

I think all full versions require payment. If you see the 9 dots you will almost certainly not have all features available.
