How can I reset the password to my child's account?

My children are unable to log into their accounts, and their accounts are linked with with mine in Family Safety. I am able to input all required information to identify their account in the account verification form, but they have not sent emails from their account. Every time I complete an account verification form, it tells me I haven't provided enough information. How can I provide more if they have never sent an email? It is VERY frustrating that as their mother, I am not able to help them reset their password and now their account and personal information is not within my control. Microsoft needs to fix this issue, I have read dozens of posts from frustrated parents about this.

    Hi. I have the same problem. I created an outlook account for my child. I must have mis-typed the password, and your interface did not ask to confirm the password. Since I just created the account I cannot reset her password. When I go to the manage consent page in the family app I get the message.

    I also tried the microsoft live password reset screen, and despite me answering all the questions correctly... she has no emails because I just created the account it would not let me reset her password.

    Frankly I never wanted to create an email address for my MINOR. There should be a way to manage computer access without creating an email address.

    I have the same situation - my kid did not remember password after setting and using safety pin for months...

    I'm having the exact same problem tried to let the kids play a game today and it kept asking for the passwords to their accounts.. I miss the old way to create accounts on Xbox without having to create an email account for two 7 year olds!
