How can I reset the password to my child's account?

Same issue to me - MS support is a p@ce of s@t - sorry for saying this, but read below :(

I'm actually a programmer I completely not understnad how they can keep this for months.

I've tried the password reset FROM THE ACCOUNT THAT IS CONNECTED TO MY CHILDREN AS PARENT!

It says I did not given enough information - BUT THERE IS NO MORE INFORMATION as my children is used only Minecraft from that account -

the main information is that I'm connected to my children account as parent and I created the account! So what else is needed?

Also I've tried to contact support:

1. Support line: here I connected to a very dump AI bot. I told the bot the problem, it told me to go to a webpage, I told her that webpage does not working and I want to talk with a human - then it said goodbye to me and disconnected.
2. I managed to find out how to reach human support - it was taken 3 hours to find this out (!!!!) - 3 hours - as all pages are roundlinked to each other and finally each redirects to the password reset page. So I talked with support: the guy told me that there is no other way than to follow the process. I told that the process is bugous - he told that the process must be followed and there is no other way. BUT I CAN PROOVE that this account is linked to me I'd just need a human to verify it - but MS walled itself totally to be able to recover my account :(

This is crazy.

Please MS at least fix the problem for family accounts - the only thing that is needed a "Reset password" link on "Manage family" nearby the child :(

My children are unable to log into their accounts, and their accounts are linked with with mine in Family Safety. I am able to input all required information to identify their account in the account verification form, but they have not sent emails from their account. Every time I complete an account verification form, it tells me I haven't provided enough information. How can I provide more if they have never sent an email? It is VERY frustrating that as their mother, I am not able to help them reset their password and now their account and personal information is not within my control. Microsoft needs to fix this issue, I have read dozens of posts from frustrated parents about this.

We created a hotmail account for my daughter for her to create a Google account to enable her to play her games such as Pokemon Go. Recently she went to delete her crunchyroll account, which it sent a verification email. She went to confirm this and it was then we realised she had forgotten her password. When we attempted to log in and reset her password, it advised that Sign In had been blocked to due excessive attempts by her. After reading through the help topics, we went through the process to recover her account, unfortunately we hadn't set up a second email account to verify. So we proceeded through to recovering her account using her details. As she doesn't use the email account, it was difficult to answer the questions relating to providing the email address and subjects that has been resent sent from her email address. As a result, her attempt to recovery was unsuccessful. Is there an admin who can assist us with recovering my daughters email account?

She still has access to her Google account if that assists?

Microsoft - all I want is to reset my child's password so they can login and use Minecraft!

I do not have the extra layers of information because they simply don’t exist….He’s never sent an email, no Xbox devices (he uses kindle) and the entire point is I don’t remember the previous password!!!

I do not want my son’s email address laying dormant and being susceptible to identity theft.

He wants his existing gamertag and email address.

Can you tell me:

A) How to reset the password without the extra layers of information ‘required’ as they do not exist? Even if it takes 30 days!
