"To choose what voice you hear while using Read Aloud, sign in with your Microsoft account."

Each time I press the READ ALOUD button, it gives me this error message:

"To choose what voice you hear while using Read Aloud, sign in with your Microsoft account."

But I am signed into my MS account.

It appears that my credentials cannot be verified. When this happens, MS Word defaults to the 3 built-in voices.

Any ideas?

Hi guys -

Looks like it's now been fixed (11:30am (UK) time).

Restart your computers.

Have a look at captivoice.com. It might cost you some money but I've used them in the past.

Thank TM. I really hope this issue get fixed soon. You're right about the immersive reader, it sux.

In the past, I was using something called capti voice. Its a fairly reasonable option. You are not confined to just Word docs but it also does a fine job reading PDF docs. The non-robotic voices cost extra and there is a variety of them. I don't think they are as "smart" as the Microsoft solution but maybe their AI has improved.

There is a suggestion that you go into your Credentials Manager, search for Office 365 and make a change to your credentials in there - but that does not work! Sorry, its in the hands of MS - Oh dear!!
