Documents showing in recent when not opened

Maybe Copilot is snooping around, and Explorer just caught it red-handed?

I have the same issue and thought I had been hacked....

mcsampa - I was actually thinking the same thing. This "bug" I reported over a year ago and still continues. I've used alot of the work arounds. With all the AI updates coming I can't help but think like what happened with Google - copilot is just taking a profile snapshot of all the data.

Way too many users have reported the same thing and the answers are usually how to hide the action. Which as one user reported "not acknowledging the issue at all".

This is very uncomfortable thought

We are in 2024 May - and I am still facing this issue that @Gooba31 mentioned in Nov 2023!

I'm having this Issue a few Days ago

I suspected in unauthorized Access attempts

So, I checked:

My Microsoft Account >>> Security >>> View my sign-in activity

I'm usually find Recent activity only under this Session Type title "Unsuccessful sign-in"

But now I'm noticing this "Automatic Sync" which refer to attempts for connecting the Account to an App. or Service that manages E-Mails, as the title Hint says

Below this title in it's Details:

"Type: Unsuccessful sync" & "Look unfamiliar?"

But when I tried Secure your account Link, I got this "Don’t worry. This sign-in attempt was unsuccessful, so there is no need to change your password"

These activities Type seems to be happening from a while, according to the Log history

But it started affecting the Files attribute just recently!

I think the Bug in this Scenario

I've noticed this issue has been raised in a few threads, one created back on October 18th. Clearly, it is a bug that urgently needs fixing as it is understandably causing many of us a lot of concern. Today I tried clicking on one of the files on the 'recent' list but couldn't open it from there. Please can Microsoft keep us updated on what progress is being made to rectify this.
