OneNote Web Clipper will not sign in

OneNote Web Clipper extension on Microsoft Edge stopped working after I cleared browser caches with CC Cleaner.

It worked for a long time, but now it completely stopped working. It asks me to sign in, so I get this:

After I click on Sign in with a Microsoft Account, a window appears but there is no sign in flow, it does nothing but shows me a page "Get OneNote Web Clipper".

I'm unable to sign in, it appears that the login flow is broken. I'm already signed in to my personal Microsoft account throughout my apps and in my browser. I can access the OneNote application and https://onenote.com/ site without issues.

Please help if there is another workaround to mitigate this issue. If there's no fix I can't use the Web Clipper extension anymore.

Thank you for this workaround. It’s information I can use and it is a suitable solution until Webclipper gets fixed.

As do I. They still owe me $100 for a botched support call (they're great at bouncing you around the phone system until you have to give up). I've also had numerous support emails UNanswered. I've been with MSFT from before Windows 3, and a CIO of 100+ PC orgs, and would gladly do Unix or Linux at my next company.

Understand. I was a diehard Evernote user with a Premium account for years. When they rewrote it, eliminating some important functions and features I started looking elsewhere. I really like OneNote... the architecture and features, but this Clipper snafu is totally irritating. I have a love-hate relationship to Microsoft anyway so it doesn't take much to trigger me.

With more than 100% price increases over the last few years, Evernote was no longer a good choice for me. I was also frustrated that it did not have features that I needed. I'm still trusting that MS will fix this problem soon and I will start using the Edge browser, although I still prefer Firefox. But with MS withdrawing support of the the Firefox web clipper, I am forced to give Edge a try. On the other hand, maybe this is a strong hint that it's time to consider alternatives to MS. Strong-arming users into using their products by eliminating consumer choice doesn't seem like a wise business model.

    Thanks, Bernd, Much appreciated.

I'll give it a try. I have all the Evernote workbooks as .enex files.
