Sharepoint Thumbmail not diplaying - Reserved

Hi all,

I don't know what has happened. It was working fine and then with no reason stopped.

I was using powerapps to upload some pictures for the list items into Thumbmail / Image column. It was working fine. Now it doesn't. And even when I try to add it manually from sharepoint lists view it doesn't work either.
That's what it displays now and at the bottom you can see it was working on previous ones (about 3-4 weeks ago).

I have also noticed change in the link structure, but I haven't changed a single thing. Can somebody explain why is that not working anymore? I needed it urgently today...

The problem I have is that if I deal with the images as attachments, half my images are not attachments. If I deal with them as images then half my images are attachments. This change has happened whilst the app was in use and we couldn't figure out what the problem was till now. So solutions suggested require either the image being treated as an a attachment or turning off attachments.

Also, if you create a canvas app now, you will have the exact same problem, try it the images are saved as attachments but pulled back to the app via thisitem.image - so image is very low quality - this issue must be known by the microsoft powerapps team and surely must be providing a solution soon - so if we try and do a workaround now (which may involve downloading and uploading 100's of images) it could well be in vain if a fix is on the horizon (another waste of time). Does anybody know if Microsoft are working on this?

We got the same issue suddenly. Worked for atleast a year without trouble, now suddenly the images/thumbnails are saved under a different location and saved as a attachment instead of a thumbnail.

    Old storage location: sharepoint.com/SiteAssets/Lists....

    New defected storage location: sharepoint.com/Lists/%LISTNAME%/Attachments/

I was looking for some kind of release notes but I could find nothing. It looks like Sharepoint Lists is not using dedicated folder for attachments in "Site Assets" folder anymore. It uses it's own folder under list from what I can see. But seriously... that major changes should have been managed better. :/

Dear Rafal DA and Cathal FM,

    Thanks for posting back.

We've done a lot of searches on our side, and we have not found any documented official article about the recent change or update currently, given this situation, as forum support, we may not have enough permission and resources to give out the conclusion for now. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Considering that different users from different tenants are encountering a similar situation, issue could be related to background service which need to be checked from the backend.

For you to be assisted properly, we'd recommend you contact your admin to create a support ticket from Microsoft 365 Admin Center > Support > New service request. The support team over there has higher permission than us, they can remotely help check the situation on your side, involve more resource to collect logs and help you do troubleshoot, they can also involve more resources to investigate and confirm the scenario with you.

For reference: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Docs, please select online support or phone support to have a live chat with the support engineers.  This is the most efficient way for handling this case as per the situation. About how to find the admin in your organization, you can refer to How do I find my Office 365 admin

We really appreciate your patience and understanding again!

    Sincerely,
