I use a Kaban-style board sorted into buckets for each project. Frustratingly, I cannot figure out how to sort the tasks within a bucket by due date automatically. Currently, if I want to see the most urgent items at the top and least urgent at the bottom, I need to manually drag the task down... which does not scroll down well, so I often need to drag & drop, drag & drop, drag & drop... until it arrives where I need it.
How could I keep this same Kaban-style board format (not list, grid, or schedule view) and have each column sorted by due date, even when I add a new task in?

We need this functionality as well.
The fact this is over 12mo old with no changes is comical. Each group should have its own sorting ability. Maybe its by date, maybe its by who is assigned, maybe its by tag.
They are well aware of this issue...at this point seems like they are just taking the piss on their clients when it comes to these basic requests. How else would you take this lack of response or action on such a simple ask. Frustrating.
I've just moved everything to planner for my team and now realised that it doesnt even have this basic function! How ridiculous
