I use a Kaban-style board sorted into buckets for each project. Frustratingly, I cannot figure out how to sort the tasks within a bucket by due date automatically. Currently, if I want to see the most urgent items at the top and least urgent at the bottom, I need to manually drag the task down... which does not scroll down well, so I often need to drag & drop, drag & drop, drag & drop... until it arrives where I need it.
How could I keep this same Kaban-style board format (not list, grid, or schedule view) and have each column sorted by due date, even when I add a new task in?

I am pretty sure their team must only have 2 or 3 tasks to work on in their sample data. There is no way they are coming to work in the morning and using this tool to figure out what tasks to actually work on.....
I came looking for the same thing. Kind of weird to be a leader in technology platforms in 2024 and still not have a sorting option..

You can click and drag while in the Planner app through Microsoft Teams. Then refresh your planner and your board will be sorted.
It would be great to have this as sortable, instead of having to manually doing it. That is a big hassle and my staff and I find it really annoying to having to do this for every bucket in a number of different projects.
