How can I sort Planner tasks within buckets by due date automatically as I add them?

I use a Kaban-style board sorted into buckets for each project. Frustratingly, I cannot figure out how to sort the tasks within a bucket by due date automatically. Currently, if I want to see the most urgent items at the top and least urgent at the bottom, I need to manually drag the task down... which does not scroll down well, so I often need to drag & drop, drag & drop, drag & drop... until it arrives where I need it.

How could I keep this same Kaban-style board format (not list, grid, or schedule view) and have each column sorted by due date, even when I add a new task in?

    As this is just a community forum, replies can be from other users--not Microsoft--nor does Microsoft monitor these communities (from what I've seen so far). Therefore, we are basically complaining to one another on this one :(
    I think this feature is desired by most people and agree it should be incorporated into Planner. In this regard, I looked up how we can submit requests to Microsoft for such things and I found that for Planner we must go through the application itself. Follow instructions below:

    Open Planner, go to Settings, then select "Send Planner Feedback" complete the form as shown in example below then click submit. Hopefully if we all do this it will get some attention. In meantime, we will have to resort to moving tasks in the order we desire manually within the Group by Bucket view.

    I've just come here to find the answer to this EXACT question!
    Planner is so great and so amateur at the same time.

    Why can't MC do UPDATES and continuous improvements.

    My MAIN bug bare is that if you send a commend to your team they DON'T GET THE COMMENT!!!

    No they have to think to go in and write in the comments "FOLLOWING" or something ... otherwise they don't get the comments delivered to their inbox.

    The other issue is that you can't put reminder dates on sub tasks!

    Yeah so .... come on Microsoft DO SOMETHING!!!!!

    Ok, so this original post is nearly a year old, and it does not appear that there is a way to sort the planner to show things due soon at the top?????? ****. Makes it a pretty useless product....
