office365 App download/installation for macOS Big Sur 11.7.10

I have just tried to download and install the office365 apps, but received the notification that the install needs Mac OS 12. I am running Mac OS 11. But can't seem to find the office365 download version for os11. From where can I install the latest office365 apps for my MacBook running Big Sur 11.7.10?

For some reason I am unable to upload a screenshot of the error message. So the error message reads:

Software Requirement

This software requires macOS version 12.0 or later.

Same trouble here - my child's MacBook Air can't be upgraded to Monterey, so I could not install from office.com or the Appstore.

But thanks to the www, I found a way.

Have a look here: https://macadmins.software/

There I found a list of versions available. Version 16.77 should run on Big Sur and there is a link to the installer for the suite (https://officecdnmac.microsoft.com/pr/C1297A47-86C4-4C1F-97FA-950631F94777/MacAutoupdate/Microsoft_365_and_Office_16.77.23091003_Installer.pkg)

I downloaded the installer and ran on 11.7.9 Big Sur.

    I have the same issue which means thousands of others that run the latest Mac iOS have the same issue. Microsoft should have a solution so what is the real answer?

    Based on your description I understand that you can't download O365 Apps on macOS, Please correct me if I am wrong. Thank you.

    I have done some research and I observed that the issue you're facing is happening with MAC OS BigSur 11 version which became out of support and you can't use O365 Apps On, So it's recommended to install the machine's latest macOS, so that you can use O365 Apps and keep receiving updates.

    You can follow the below steps for updating your macOS:

    • From the Apple menu  in the corner of your screen, choose System Settings. Click General in the sidebar, then click Software Update on the right.
    • Or in earlier versions of macOS, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Software Update.
    • If Software Update finds new software, click the Update or Upgrade button to download and install it. You will be asked to enter your administrator password, which is the password you use to log in to your Mac.

    Incase you don't need to upgrade your OS, you can install Office 2019 as it's compatible with macOS Big Sur 11.7.10
