Hello,
I'm trying to start my Office E3 trial but I keep getting this message when going to Start Trial:
Please try again in a few minutes. We are unable to complete the verification check on your payment method at this time.
If the problem doesn't go away, please submit a Service Request.
I tried calling the support but didn't get to speaking to anyone but pre-recordered auto-replies.
I have tried using a different card as my payment method, cleaning cookies, switching browsers and networks -- nothing worked. I can see there have been people with similar issues but unsure how they were solved. Could anyone please suggest an answer?

Same here, legit card, legit name, they did a $1 transaction to verify the payment method, and yet I can't buy or start trial. Seriously Microsoft, you've gotta do better than this. Also, there seems to be no option to create a ticket.
My only way to solve was to open like various support requests in reference to the original SR.
My last call before the issue was solved was a little bit rude and with threats that I would announce the problem and the way Microsoft treated the issue in LinkedIn.
Same issue. 3 months into it and 4 support tickets with Microsoft and no resolution.
I know this is completely "stupid" but...open several tickets, explain that you're going to expose the case online (e.g.: LinkedIn).
This is one of the most strange and crazy things I've ever seen from MSFT Support...
Guys i have had the same issue, the quickest way to resolve this right now which worked for me was;
i followed this step, suggested by a user here and it worked for me.
"I have fixed this, but the trial version WONT work, you have to get a sales rep to create you a purchase order link and then it works after that, sucks to pay month 1 but it is what it is, good luck https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/business/sales-support#". Once you get to this page you'd need to open a chat with a business sale rep and state the issue and they will give you a link that you'd use to pay directly for the item.
they'll request for your full name, phone number and email address to create the link for you.
Hope this helps someone else as it has help me.
