Unable to complete the verification check on my payment method

Hello,

I'm trying to start my Office E3 trial but I keep getting this message when going to Start Trial:

Please try again in a few minutes. We are unable to complete the verification check on your payment method at this time.

If the problem doesn't go away, please submit a Service Request.

I tried calling the support but didn't get to speaking to anyone but pre-recordered auto-replies.

I have tried using a different card as my payment method, cleaning cookies, switching browsers and networks -- nothing worked. I can see there have been people with similar issues but unsure how they were solved. Could anyone please suggest an answer?

    Im facing the same annoying issue. Using Edge or Fireforx as a browser didnt help and also the solution from "Daniel Covey" is not working as i dont see the "Add an associated billing tenant" in my billing account options. Such a shame from microsoft to led their users allone with this issue and dont even providing helpful support or fixing this issue.

    Been using this credit card for over two years and have been a customer for over six years. And I'm getting this error.

    Can confirm after 4 hours of trying every suggestion on the internet, I (temporarily) switched to Edge and it worked first go. I don't know how something so fundamentally basic could disrupt so many people in the way I've read it has.
