Hello,
I'm trying to start my Office E3 trial but I keep getting this message when going to Start Trial:
Please try again in a few minutes. We are unable to complete the verification check on your payment method at this time.
If the problem doesn't go away, please submit a Service Request.
I tried calling the support but didn't get to speaking to anyone but pre-recordered auto-replies.
I have tried using a different card as my payment method, cleaning cookies, switching browsers and networks -- nothing worked. I can see there have been people with similar issues but unsure how they were solved. Could anyone please suggest an answer?

In my particular case nothing worked.
From phone browser, other users, etc.
From Microsoft Support the only thing they said was that was a behavior that blocked my tenant from buying licenses.
Not even information about what the behavior was...
It's a real PITA when you do it on your phone's browser, but it worked for me. iOS 18.2, Chrome browser. Hope this helps!
I finally got this solved.
The same "standard response" indicating the problem is solved and it was a Microsoft mistake, and that will learn from the error....
Same "bla bla bla"...need to overflow them with 4 or 5 tickets about the same thing and finally solved with no root cause indicated...
Really really bad service this time from Microsoft Support.
I have fixed this, but the trial version WONT work, you have to get a sales rep to create you a purchase order link and then it works after that, sucks to pay month 1 but it is what it is, good luck https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/business/sales-support#
Yep same here started a new business and have clients I just want to share work with and cant, in 30 years this is the dumbest subscription I've ever encountered, count me out!! Idiotic!
