S pen writing not shown on OneNote android app until lift off screen. Any idea how to fix?

I have a Samsung galaxy S22 ultra. Writing in the OneNote app with my S pen has just become very tricky. Writing does not appear until I take the pen off the screen. So if you try to draw a circle, you do not know where you started until you finish your action and remove your pen from the screen. This only happens on my Galaxy S22 ultra. It does not happen on my Galaxy tab.

Has anyone experienced this and know a fix?

    Me too. I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling everything I can think of but nothing. Samsung support have checked the App logs and say the problem is with OneNote, not with the Samsung system. There appears to be no solution to this forthcoming.

    The attitude seems to be the app is free so how can we expect any support? I have cancelled my Office 365 account and am going to go over to WPS Office or a similar package. OneNote has been reduced in features and made more difficult to use with each successive release. Just wish I could go back to Office 10 or earlier but no way to get a compatible version of OneNote to run on Android from the days when it was outstandingly good.

    After following this thread for several weeks, almost months now and seeing folks downgrading or even ditching OneNote I find it almost.... well.... fascinating to see how little interest there seems to be for MS to at least apologize for the inconvenience or admit that they haven't found a solution. Or to answer at least generically to our tickets. Or, just lie to us, say you're working hard on this bug, but it's difficult, idk - but they obviously simply seem not to care enough even for that. 🥲

    Thanks a lot Melanie for making the effort. I'm also frustrated by the malfunction and it impacts my productivity a lot.

    Could you please help me, where I can get the previous version you referred to (16.0.16529.20142) from a trusted webpage.

    I guess I have to deinstall the latest version of OneNote and install the .20142 Version using an apk-file?
