Microsoft whiteboard Unable to change font size on text box objects (using templates)

I might have a solution to this.

The text boxes I'm just working with in whitboard have a fixed width. Entering text beyond the width causes it to wrap and expand the box vertically. I can change the width of the box by dragging the left or right edges from the middle of the edge (not a corner/vertex). This does not change the font size.

However, the box also has four drag points on the corners. Dragging this scales the box and the contents - resulting in the font getting larger and/or smaller.

So the solution to the original question is likely to be:

1. Drag the right edge from the middle of the edge to the left until the box contains just the text.
2. Drag a corner by the dot to make the box larger to the size of text you require.

This does not work for "notes".

Agree 100%. It's a key problem with a simple answer. This needs to be fixed. I was told to us Teams whiteboard to facilitate a large working session, because that was the tool the company had in-house (not Miro). The exercise with leaders was not as effective and efficient as I would have liked, and the experience for the leaders was not as positive as it could have been because of the tool limitations.

I finally cracked the issue. We can insert a new text box inside the shape (for example: a rectangle). The text box when clicked, triggers a selection box, we can pull the corners of that selection box and drag it to increase the font size.

Thanks for pointing this out. It works - somewhat, but is really a semi useful workaround. What many of us would like is for MS to fix the problem so we can click on the post-it note and use the "start typing" feature and have option to size the text within the post it note, and have the post it note automatically resize when text is adjusted.

Yes, we can add a text box and then make that text box larger to increase the size of the text, but that is extra steps and more importantly, increasing the size of the text box doesn't automatically resize the post-it note.
