I want to sue Microsoft -- OneDrive has hijacked all my local files and there's no way to retreive it!!!!

Microsoft is using deceptive tactics to hold our content hostage. I wasn't given any intimation on how OneDrive would without my permission take hold of my folders and content and not release it back to me unless I took their subscription account to access them. Even though I have paid for a yearly subscription, I still am not able to restore back all my content to my local storage. Though the sum of amount they've received isn't much, the value of my content is too high for me. I do not want them on OneDrive, I want them locally on my computer and for me to access, store, or transfer per my discretion.

When they apply this policy at a systemic level where all Windows users are subjected to it, suddenly the under $20 annual fee obviously becomes a much greater sum. It is something that must be attacked and resented publicly. A class action law suit is necessary when companies begin to act so callously.

What do mean, "why doesnt he?...." Why does microsoft feel they have ANY buisness downloading his, mine or others PERSONAL content immidiately without out notice, permission or a way to stop it or a way to get it back? How can you suggest to him to go around a problem that by all rights, shouldnt exist? This is the DELIBRATE THEFT OF INFORMATION THAT ISNT MICROSOFTS. Hi Diane Poremsky [M365 Apps & Services MVP]
My specialty is Outlook and Microsoft 365 issues.

I did this several months ago, and Onedrive has taken over my files again. when I turned it back off, it took the last month's files. It's so frustrating; Microsoft is misbehaving.

The first time I heard about this thing that connected someone to another person continents far away from each other was from a customer, client, whatever.

I was a hair stylist. My high school principal blocked me from graduating a year early to go to John's Hopkins. It was a brand new school and I was in the first graduating class. He did not want a graduating class of one. The next year I graduated with my class. I didn't go but I passed.

Dove into a deep and furious depression. Halfway through the summer my folks told me I had a week to think of something, anything, that I was going to do in the fall. A week later they asked, So, watcha gonna do? There were only two allowed options, doctor or lawyer. Out of nowhere I said hair stylist. I wish my eyes were cameras.

I chose well. I am freakishly talented. My claim to fame was cutting Clapton's hair for the cover of Rolling Stone.

The library had and is my salvation. The H. L. Menken room was mine. When I wasn't there and needed to know something I called the reference desk and got to know a certain librarian very well. She was good. She insisted I ask for her so she didn't have to answer the question, What are the names of the seven dwarfs over and endlessly over again.

The husband of one of my customers landed an internship with IBM for me when I was in high school. I was hanging out with them one day and he was telling me about this military application with cold rooms and wires and distances. I was a goner. The department was looking for people who could deep dive, read between the lines people. That's how Terry got the job and transferred to Quantico. She kept me up to date for a while and I guess they laid out, It's her or us.

I never thought it would become this. The miracle of it, that became the paranoia of it.

I was a vehement Vietnam War protester. Never a soldier protestor. It was around when I had just started working when my first paranoia set in. Like everyone else I was told the feds are probably watching me, and so on.

My paranoia grew to what it is today. Something to lean on. My shadow friend.

When Microsoft usurped my complacency by installing 11 behind my back, while I was sleeping, my paranoia rose from the dead and reactivated like the scariest horror movie.

I have turned to vicious wit for adversaries. Microsoft is one of my adversaries.

I will not rest until they have heard my story and hopefully get an ear infection that causes them to go deaf in one ear and disfigures that ear.

I know only to well how small I am. But somehow, some way, I have to fight back. I don't exactly know how yet but I'll get there. How can I get big enough to be interviewed by Lawrence O'Donnell?

Back to it. Setting up a chat tree.

    Class action lawsuit

    Put them on notice.

    Anyone?

Remember when Micro hard as nails would not let Apple use Office? Apple must have paid dearly for it. Now that you can no longer separate Office from 365, Mac's cloud must be in hog heaven. (Why hogs?)

Is Tor the answer? I don't know but would like to know
