OneNote 365 Not Displaying TABS LAYOUT > VERTICAL TABS Option

Hi Support,

I installed the latest version of Office 365 / Microsoft 365 and while searching online says to go to VIEW > TABS LAYOUT > VERTICAL TABS to make OneNote display the tabs vertical as opposed to horizontal; however, when I click on VIEW, I don't see this option and only see the follow image below.

I tried to go to FILE > OPTIONS > DISPLAY to see if I could customize the RIBBON and don't see this option.

Any advice is very much appreciated.

Dear Sonny,

It seems that you are talking about the feature mentioned in New Layout Options for OneNote on Windows are coming soon (microsoft.com). I'm afraid that the feature hasn't been released to all version number of the OneNote application. I suggest you keep close eyes on the updates of the OneNote application and wait for the feature in your environment.

As a workaround, you can click on the notebook tab>click on Pin Notebook Pane to Side currently.

    I'm afraid I don't set that. I may be a Systems Admin, but I don't deal with the Channel settings for our updates. I'll pass that along to my coworker.

    You have the new tab layout feature. This is the reason why these 3 options are grayed out and you don't see the pin.

    We don't. Under View we do not see the Tab Layout option to select either Horizontal or Vertical. I've also looked for those options in commands to add to Ribbon and Tab Layout is not available.
