This suddenly popped out of a device. What does this mean? What should we do?

"mddprov account has removed your workplace account and deleted all of the information associated with your workplace account (including business apps, password requirements, and other policies) from your device."

Have checked the Settings > Accounts and the account is still connected to that same device.

Strangely, Edge was repalced with Edge for Business and all Links, History etc. was deleted.

I just got this message. I'm the only M365 admin for our company and I know I didn't do anything to cause this.

I am also seeing this issue pop back up repeatedly as of September 8th, 2023 on a fully updated Windows system with Office 365 connected accounts but no Azure AD Join or Intune

Microsoft - You need to fix your software. I have had this happen multiple times with nothing on our end being changed.

I have checked the Account in WIndows10 settings. I have checked In-Tune, we do not use this product and no devices are in In-Tune. Everything is still active in Azure. This is a time suck, creates loss of productivity, unhappy employees, unhappy IT Staff. The time researching the problem with no indication from Microsoft that this is a software glitch is quite unacceptable. And more importantly no solution has not been found.

    Please fix-it!
