Device management notification

This suddenly popped out of a device. What does this mean? What should we do?

"mddprov account has removed your workplace account and deleted all of the information associated with your workplace account (including business apps, password requirements, and other policies) from your device."

Have checked the Settings > Accounts and the account is still connected to that same device.

It doesn't relate to the version of Office that you have but just whether Windows is joined to Azure AD, which is something you can see in (Windows) Settings, Accounts.

This is what they told me "Engineering Team is investigating this issue on the backend and a Service Incident will be published once the investigation is complete. However, there's no timeline on this." I guess the investigation is not complete yet? I have no idea.

Hi, I have received the same error message above but I don't have Microsoft Office 365 on my computer, but the older Office 2013. Is it a bug?

Based on the message before yours, it sounds like it's not added yet, which isn't surprising for something that apparently caught them by surprise.

Has anyone seen this have any actual detrimental effects yet, particularly after reboot? I haven't.

Event Viewer has a couple interesting error events (Application and Service Logs, Microsoft, Windows, Device Management subsection) which correspond with the timing of this:

-MDM Session: OMA-DM message failed to be sent. Result: (Conflict (409).).

-MDM Session: OMA-DM message failed to be sent. Result: (Not found (404).).

What's the incident #? I don't see it in the admin portal.
