So you created a new profile on your computer? As previously indicated - it is somewhat of a pain, but resolved the problem.

I have tried all online fixes but nothing is working; inetcpl.cpl, uninstalling & reinstalling, advanced options internet explorer & updating microsoft office. It just started giving me this error a couple of days ago.

The reply strings still have not solved the issue. Very frustrating....sometimes I can insert one online picture in a Powerpoint presentation, then a minute later I want to insert another online picture, and I get the error message. I believe it has to do with the link within the application to the "bing" search engine connection as that is the default search engine Microsoft uses to search for photos....
same with me it was working but now same notification I m getting
Hi Sonia-I had to set up a new user profile to fix it. A huge pain but it did the trick.

I had the same problem (Windows 10, Office Pro 2016) and finally got it solved after 3 1/2 hours on chat and phone with Microsoft Support.
The fix was to create a new user profile (just like what JimR had to do).
Of course, this generated a whole other set of problems, but they are readily fixable, just time consuming.
Hope this works for you!
Ruth
P.S. I had to run a repair on Acrobat to get the PDFMaker reinstalled after Office add-ins couldnt recognize the COM dll.
