How to exclude folders with pics appearing in the photo gallery

I totally agree. This is such a betrayal of trust. The fact that they won't fix it is astounding.

This in unnaceptable, i don't want to see my pictures everywhere.

This is symptomatic with so many Microsoft products over the past three or four years. They release products that on the surface look feature rich but once you start using them you realise they are missing fundamental and basic functionality. Whats worse is they often force you to "update" to their new versions which are stripped down versions of the originals but with a new lick of paint. Look at the office products, the decimation of OneNote, the new Outlook app completely removing client side rules, the new Teams app that keeps losing messages. Lets not even get started with their licence changes for things like PowerBI. They wont listen; they appear to have grown extra mouths and lost their ears.

Even these forums are a complete joke nowadays. You are better searching Reddit than the official copy and paste responses from the admins on here. More often than not the "solution" provided has no relevance to the issue. This thread is a prime example of that. Do the mods get karma per response or something? Anyway rant over... Have subscribed to this thread but wont be holding my breath for an actual solution.

Totally agree. I honestly don't understand their product strategy. How can anyone think that releasing "new" products with less than 50% of the features of "old" products is a good idea?

They are all the same, Photos, Outlook being 2 examples. There are basic features missing in the new versions, are they just waiting for customers to complain before adding them back in? Madness.

And support forums are just full of unqualified bots from Asia posting copy and paste stock responses that never actually address the issue. Terrible customer experience.

I have been looking for a way to segregate my pictures in the "Pictures" folder from other image files spread everywhere in my One Drive archive... However, as mentioned by many users here, they all get mixed up in the gallery.

When is Microsoft going to add a functionality (a checkbox) to display in the gallery only the pictures from the "Pictures" folder?

The existing filter works, but this is not a solution, since I have to apply this filter everytime I open the application. Also, the main point is that I do not want to mix personal photos with all my other computer images.

Please Microsoft. this will help us have a much better user experience.

do you realize, that not allowing users to choose folders - sources of the photos - which should be displayed in the OneDrive Photo Gallery, makes OneDrive completely unusable (dysfunctional) for Photo purposes?

It is not a question of voting, if this is a priority! It is so obvious bug and such a huge OneDrive Microsoft team failure, that you should fix it immediately.

Because of this failure, right know, OneDrive users have only these options:
1/ Not to use OneDrive for Photos, but just as a data storage (so, you need to store Photos on other cloud solutions, e.g. on Google Cloud).

2/ Use OneDrive just for Photos, but other data you need to store on other cloud solutions, because you don't want to mix your data with photos (so, Microsoft is losing part of business and makes users angry = loss-loss, not win-win).

3/ Not to use OneDrive at all, because is much more simple to use other cloud solution, which allows you to store all the data and in your Photo Gallery display only photos, you want to be seen.

Olivia, please, escalate it and fix it asap! Thanks.
