Recently updated to new iOS and Microsoft family app keeps crashing. Have restart phone multiple times and uninstall and reinstalled app several times. Before the iOS update, app was giving errors on the notification page. Had to keep hitting refresh button and it would finally connect to Microsoft.

Hey everyone, good news! An update is now available which resolves this issue, with the new app version implementing the fix being 1.24.3. Please update to the newest version and see if the issue is resolved.

Based on some user experience, if you do not get the update offered you may have to uninstall the app first, then reinstall to get the new version.

I completely agree there should be ramifications for this, also on the QA team who should have caught or at least reacted to the reports much faster.

Forums such as this are critical in getting quick feedback outside of the classic call Center structure. I logged a call a couple of days ago and go nowhere, the usual BS of “please reset your phone, and if you can’t do that then we will just escalate the case and close it”, which of course means “goodby, your case is now closed, please rate your satisfaction on what a brilliant job we did!”.

If this were some small feature I could understand a lower priority, but when the subject is parental control it becomes a whole bigger deal and tells you MS can neither be trusted with this responsibility nor do they consider it important.

As you say, someone ought to be fired, or at least demoted.

I think it has to be submitted to the MS Feedback Hub App.

Send feedback to Microsoft with the Feedback Hub app - Microsoft Support
