I've blocked OneDrive update server by adding the following line to /etc/hosts:
0.0.0.0. oneclient.sfx.ms
Now it works without removing Updaters. Hope it will work for some time while I'm considering alternatives...
Hi, I also have the same problem. My problem was solved by installing the old version (version 23.054.0313.0003; https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/onedrive-release-notes-845dcf18-f921-435e-bf28-4e24b95e5fc0#OSVersion=Mac) and turning off Microsoft autoupdate to prevent updates to the latest version.

Same Problem 10.5.7
Uninstalled and Reinstalled three times.
One drive just simply fails to successfully open.
Same problem, nothing works .... maybe because the icon in the menu bar is not displayed at all.
I'm having the exact same issue...with the same Mac OS version, 10.15.7. I'm also using the same OneDrive version. The problem arose in early April. After having syncing issues, it was very very slow, I uninstalled and reinstalled OneDrive. In the process downloaded the latest version. I've tried all these options listed above. Nothing works. Where can I download an older version? I've been unable to successfully run it for 3-4 days now and have tried various things to get it to launch. It is very frustrating. I have a crash report and can include it helpful. I'm an 365 yearly subscriber.
