Junk Emails Suddenly going to Inbox Feb 2023

Hi, I had my hotmail account for over 20 years and I never had an issue like this. As of this morning at 4am ALL of my junk emails are going to my inbox. No settings have been amended.

Since I've had this account for many years every 5 minutes I receive a junk in my inbox. Ive searched for a solution online but all I can see is for outlook and not outlook/hotmail 365. I've tried everything at this point, from rules to flagging wit no help. Has anyone experienced the same? Microsoft doesnt seem to have a customer service team to help?

Many thanks

DO NOT reply to those, they are scam emails. Nobody in Russia has accessed your account. I had the same spam coming for a month every day saying someone from RUSSIA had hacked my email. Go directly to your account do not click on anything in that email! BE WARNED

Although the email looks to actually be coming from the Microsoft account support address, I believe they've been hacked. Log into your Hotmail/Outlook/Live account and follow the link to your activity from your profile page. You'll see that the email is a phishing attempt because you won't see that Russian activity there. Do not follow links from that email. I urge you to set up two factor authentication or use the Microsoft authenticator app to make your account completely passwordless. This makes it very near impossible for anyone to actually hack your account.

Same thing has been happening to me at the same time today. Haven’t had a problem in 20 years until now. I did some Internet searching and it seems that this has been happening to people on and off for many years and I can’t figure out if it’s ever been resolved for them. Very annoying. The replies from Support are not helpful. They do not resolve the problem.

I am having the same issue and it is incredibly frustrating! I tried the Contact Support and discovered that is not working either. Microsoft needs to address this issue immediately.
